It can be more of a pain to carry at your appendix though, but I've gotten used to it.The CCW (concealed carry weapons) subreddit is a community about sharing articles, tips, and links about various topics that address CCW. ![]() For me, I like the longer slide because it has a little less recoil and gives the round a little more velocity, plus my backup irons have a longer sight radius and are more accurate. The shorter slide makes it a little more comfortable for a wider range of body types. If it's your first CCW gun, I'd recommend a compact of some kind. If I'm wearing a jacket, I'll throw it in the Ragnarok with the TLR1. My off duty holsters are a Veil Solutions for appendix or 4 o'clock, no light and no spare mag, and a QVO Tactical Wingman that allows me to carry it at my appendix with a TLR7a and a spare mag. In the winter, I use a full size Wilson combat module because I can hide it under hoodies or a jacket. In the summer, I use a full size x grip that I chopped to accommodate 15 round compact magazines. Off duty, I carry a P320 with a full size slide with an RMR. Super easy to conceal under a larger shirt, and very comfortable. I carry it with a Streamlight TLR1 in a T-Rex Arms Ragnarok. I carry a compact P320 with a Wilson combat compact module for my full time job as a criminal investigator. And take your time shooting not just dump the mag haha grip, where your front to rear sight was, how your arms were placed and how the trigger was squeezed, took me awhile to get myself to think about all of that but once I did it made a huge difference. Try to remember what you did with everything when you are shooting on target and see if you can repeat it every time, I.e. Great holster with excellent quality fit and finish but a hell of a wait time of they do not have it in stock ready to ship.īest thing for training I have done is concealed draw and fire with a laser ammo but now that I moved to somewhere that I can actually shoot in my backyard live fire training always but still laser train every now and then. I conceal a x compact with a 3.6" barrel added a olight pl mini 2 with a wilson combat grip module and carry it in a black point tactical mini wing holster at the 3ish o'clock on the right side.įor me I had to get longer belt clips as I like carrying canted forward but doing so I had deep carry it as the front of the mag liked to print.
